How does it work?
Civic AF is a creative residency in two parts.
It starts with a 5-day online programme (20–24 October 2025) that supports your personal growth and well-being. You will take part in interactive workshops, creative labs, and inspiring talks with artists, psychologists, coaches, and media experts.
Then comes the 5-day on-site residency (27–31 October 2025, departure on 1 November) at Lūznava Manor and guesthouse Svilpaunieki in Latvia. Here you will experience the power of being together in person, with creative workshops, storytelling, activism, and collaboration in an inspiring international community.
What we will focus on:
- How can I strengthen my own resilience?
- How can I feel more grounded and confident in myself?
- How can I connect with others and find my voice?
- How can I understand the world around me and take action on what matters to me?
Through guided coaching, creative exercises and conversations, you will gain new perspectives, learn useful tools, and build connections with other young people from across the Nordic, Baltic and neighbouring countries
Online phase (20–24 October 2025) – join us to meet inspiring guests, share experiences, and connect with people your age from across the Nordic, Baltic, and neighbouring countries. The online part is open to everyone who registers. Together with mentors and peers, you’ll explore what matters to you and your generation, and start developing ideas for how to make the world a better place for young people. The on-site residency at Lūznava Manor and guesthouse Svilpaunieki in Latvia (27–31 October 2025, departure on 1 November) has space for 20 participants. Everyone can apply, but only the most motivated will get a place.
During the residency, you will dive deeper into creative workshops, storytelling, activism and media work. You will collaborate on bold ideas, co-create content,
and experience an inspiring international community. The residency will end with a festive event to celebrate your work and connections.
Participation is free of charge. Accommodation, meals, learning activities and the final festive event are included during the on-site residency.
Participants usually arrange and cover their own travel to the residency. However, limited support may be available for those with fewer opportunities or who are not covered by Erasmus+ in Latvia. If this applies to you, we encourage you to mention it in your application.
Motivation and interest are what matter most. If you are curious, creative and ready to grow and work with others to shape the future, we would love to have you on board.

Who can take part?
Young people aged 18 to 25 from the Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as Ukraine and Belarus.
Whether you are a student, emerging professional, young activist or simply curious about the world, this is for you.
